More Than a Football Club
Emma Wright started volunteering at Newquay AFC after coming through cancer treatment in the middle of the pandemic. Now she leads the club's player welfare programme, covering physical and mental wellbeing across every senior team.
Looking After the Players, Properly
Since March, the first team have been recovering at Saunassa. The Nordic spa on Pargolla Road is sponsoring the squad's recovery this season — wood-fired sauna, infrared, ice baths and hot tubs, a few minutes from the ground.
